OUR HISTORY
For years, rural communities have been denied rock music. The common thought was that people in the sticks wanted country music. But we decided to look past “common thought”, and launch 94.1 The Loon in June 1999.
Since then, we have been rockin’ West Central Minnesota with the best classic and new rock. We moved from our studios in Atwater to the Kandi Mall (Uptown Willmar) in Willmar, MN in October 1999, where we’ve been ever since.
In May 2021, we launched what we like to call our “New Era” website, along with our apps on iOS and Android. We are more connected to you than ever before, with notifications, app exclusive offers, deals and contests, and more! Stay plugged in, stay connected, and stay rockin’, Loonatics!
