Normally I would deliver some good little tidbit of news for you to ponder on the Loon blog but today is different. I wanted to use this time to say Good Bye to my loyal listeners and fans. Its time for me to hang up the headphones after 29 years in the broadcast business. This crazy journey has been incredible and I’m so glad you took the adventure with me ! I could not think of a better bunch to spend everyday with then you! THANK YOU for tuning in starting with the morning show and staying around for midday’s. Its been 15 years here at The Loon with you but I am finding myself in a new arena now. I will never forget you! Time to retire my number!
Thank you to Headwaters Media for this amazing platform you entrusted me to everyday. What a stage I was able to command locally and internationally.
My kids…..I am so lucky. So very lucky.
And Nathan…my morning partner of 15 years but more importantly my friend. We were given lemons and made lemonade ! No one has our morning show longevity in this business. We created something pretty crazy and solid for 2 1/2 hours everyday. From breaking news to interviews- I would not have wanted to take that journey with anyone but you! Chemistry is everything and hard to duplicate. Thank you for you support, your kindness, having my back always, your huge mega mind, always correcting me and your incredible personality. I know in the future you will do amazing things because you are one of a kind ! I will look forward to your Christmas card every year to see how your family has changed and how mine is growing. Fridays will always be our donut day,the severe weather memories, dead air, Meatloaf who bailed, cheating in bowling and Paul Walker forever! I am not leaving you and not saying good bye. OK – I am leaving you for a smaller, balder, much younger individual and just as whiny some days- but our mornings together cannot be replaced ! So till I see you again Natie -That’ll do pig! Love ya. M
